Professional Perfection, a Permanent Choice
In the field of dermopigmentation, experience is built through years of practice, study, observation, and a continuous desire to evolve. Techniques are refined, products evolve, and challenges encountered in daily practice require an ever deeper understanding of how pigments behave in the skin.
For me, every educational experience represents an opportunity to discover new perspectives, analyze different methods, and integrate valuable knowledge into my practice.
On October 17, 2026, I attended the OPIUM BLACK course in Timișoara, led by Alina Grigore, a professional experience dedicated to one of the most challenging branches of dermopigmentation: the correction of old, heavily pigmented work.
Alina Grigore and the OPIUM BLACK Concept
Alina Grigore is a well known name in the field of micropigmentation, founder of OPIUM Gold Academy, and creator of the Opium Technique, a professional concept dedicated to micropigmentation and aesthetic correction techniques.
Her experience in tackling difficult cases and developing her own methods formed the foundation of an educational system that emphasizes colorimetry, analyzing existing pigment, and selecting a correction strategy tailored to each individual case.
OPIUM BLACK focuses on old, very dark, or saturated micropigmentation, where the standard application of a new pigment may be insufficient or might even accentuate the unwanted appearance.
An Experience That Gave Me a New Perspective on Corrections
What particularly drew me to this technique was its distinct approach to old pigment.
In dermopigmentation, one of the greatest challenges is correcting eyebrows tattooed many years ago, sometimes using pigments meant for body tattoos. These cases often display high saturation, very dark color, and changes in the appearance of the pigment over time.
During the course, I deepened my understanding of the importance of evaluating existing pigment and the principles of colorimetry that underlie aesthetic corrections.
An essential aspect of this experience was understanding the difference between simply layering a new pigment and performing a correction based on chromatic analysis.
OPIUM BLACK should not be seen as a simple color touch up over an old tattoo, but as a structured technical approach aimed at correcting chromatic appearance.
This distinction is important both for the specialist and for the client seeking to improve a previous micropigmentation procedure.
From Theory to Practice: Analyzing Complex Cases
Practical experience was a valuable component of this advanced training.
One of the cases that caught my attention involved eyebrows tattooed about ten years ago using very intense black body tattoo ink.
When approaching such a case, evaluating the pigment and skin condition is essential. Saturation, depth of implantation, potential scarring, and existing shape all influence the possibilities for correction.
I observed and applied the steps of the technique, analyzing the visible changes in the pigment and how the skin behaved during the procedure.
The experience confirmed how crucial it is not to treat all old tattoos with the same protocol.
The result observed immediately after the intervention is only one stage of the process. Final evaluation requires complete skin healing and assessing color stability over time.
Micropigmentation Correction Means More Than Just Changing Color
In my professional practice, I believe a successful correction begins with a thorough evaluation and setting realistic expectations.
Not every old tattoo can be corrected through a new micropigmentation procedure. There are situations where the degree of saturation, pigment migration, or skin changes dictate other solutions, including prior pigment removal using specialized methods.
For this reason, choosing the technique must be done individually, without promising immediate or universal results.
For me, the responsibility of a specialist involves both knowing the capabilities of a technique and recognizing its limitations.

Every case requires attention, patience, and a personalized strategy.
Alina Grigore: A Valuable Professional Encounter
Beyond the technique itself, the experience alongside Alina Grigore offered me the opportunity to discover an approach built on practical experience and a genuine desire to find solutions for complex cases.
I deeply appreciate professionals who share their knowledge and contribute to the evolution of our field.
I believe that knowledge sharing among specialists, regardless of their background or professional level, is one of the most important resources for advancing the beauty industry.
Experience does not rule out learning. On the contrary, the more experience you gain, the better you understand the importance of continuous refinement.
For me, OPIUM BLACK was more than just attending a course. It was a valuable professional experience that reinforced my conviction that excellence in dermopigmentation requires passion, study, precision, and responsibility.
